Every year, when winter break came round, Santana and Brittany had their certain traditions. One of these traditions was baking. While Santana wasn't much of a baker, Brittany always seemed to enjoy it, but she did have a little trouble getting the recipes straight -- which was where Santana came in.

This year, they weren't on the best of terms. They were friends, even after Santana's freak-out during their duets challenge in Glee, but things still weren't quite the same. Santana liked to think they were getting better, but truthfully, Brittany spent a lot more time with Artie outside of school these days than she did Santana. Santana was hoping that winter break would be her chance to set things right and, if she was lucky, get Brittany to ditch Wheels and come back to her.

Wearing sweatpants and a long-sleeved shirt she wouldn't mind getting dirty, Santana made her way to Brittany's about ten minutes after the blonde called. She was excited and walked right into the Pierce house (after so many years, it was like a second home) when she arrived, calling out, "Britt!" as she moved into the living room to crash on the couch.

Brittany's brow arched at Santana's words, feeling a shiver of excitement at the thought. "Totally." She muttered, letting herself be led into the kitchen. Grabbing the oven mitts (covered with Santa, Brittany had picked them out), she handed them to Santana, knowing she shouldn't try to get them out of the oven. "Here. You should get them out. I might drop them"

Santana reluctantly took the Santa oven mitts (probably Brittany's pick) and reached into the oven, pulling out the tray. She would've taken them even without Brittany telling her to. Far too many batches of cookies had been ruined over the years when she'd slacked and let Brittany go near the oven. "Get the cooling racks, babe."

"Okay." Brittany said, moving over to grab the cooling racks as Santana got the cookie sheet out of the oven. She set them down on the counter so she could put down the hot sheet. Smiling as she saw the cookies, she turned to the brunette. "They look so good!"

"Because we're awesome, duh." Santana smiled at Brittany and set the tray down, reaching for a spatula to start transferring the cookies from the tray to the cooling racks.

"We totally are." Brittany agreed, reaching for a spatula herself, carefully helping Santana move the cookies over. She had to concentrate because she hadn't exactly been good at this part in past years. But she was totally pulling it off right now. Which made her excited and she looked up at Santana with a huge smile, this distracted her concentration and she dropped the cookie to the floor.

Santana was actually surprised to see that Brittany hadn't dropped a single cookie. But then, the blonde turned to look at her, all proud of herself, and Santana knew it was only a matter of time. Brittany wasn't much of a multi-tasker. She dropped to the ground, picked up the dropped cookie and threw it away without a word. She leaned in and kissed Brittany softly when she stood. "Focus, Britt."

"Sorry." Brittany said, smiling as Santana kissed her. "Totally focused now." She said, turning her attention back to the cookies. They'd almost got them all moved over. Soon they could eat them. Once they'd cooled that is.

Once all the cookies had been transferred, Santana leaned against the counter. "So,what do you wanna do now?" she asked, smirking and raising an eyebrow.

Brittany thought for a minute, chewing on her bottom lip as she did. "Well..." She shrugged, looking over at Santana. "The cookies have to cool before we can eat them..."

"Maybe we should go up to your room..." Santana suggested, taking Brittany's hands and already leading her up the stairs. Artie, thankfully, was the furthest thing from her mind.

"Okay." Brittany nodded as Santana took her hands, leading her up the stairs to her bedroom. Thankfully her parents weren't home, not that it would've mattered if they were. She and Santana had totally made out in her room before while they were home. Closing the door behind them, Brittany locked it, just to be safe.

Which meant she couldn't exactly be upset with Brittany hooking up with Artie after how she'd treated the blonde.

Brittany walked over and sat down on her bed, her brow wrinkling when Santana stopped at the end and stood there. She had an unreadable look on her face and Brittany wasn't sure what was bothering her. Then she said everything looked the same and Brittany looked around, before back at Santana. "Well, Ken got a new bed because Barbie was flying in from Tampa." She shrugged, looking over at the bed she had set up for Barbie and Ken beside her own bed. "I had to put a little curtain up so they could have some privacy."

Santana bit back a sigh. This was one of those moments where she felt like a pedophile. Sometimes, she could swear Brittany was five years old. But, she put the thought out of her mind and focused on the times when Brittany behaved in ways that were definitely not like a five year old. "Well." She walked over to the bed and slid onto it, laying on her stomach and pressing kisses to Brittany's jaw. "Good. 'Cause I think we might need a little privacy, too."

Brittany laid back on the bed as Santana crawled up, hovering over her, lips decorating her jaw with kisses. Her eyes rolled closed and her arms wrapped around Santana's lower back, holding her closer. "Definitely need privacy."
